Additionally, it explores the biological and technical cycles, along with the nuances between reuse, refurbishment, and remanufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This resource is versatile and applicable across all sectors of the economy. By establishing a common language and providing clarity on often misunderstood terms, the aim is to facilitate alignment among businesses, policymakers, and cities regarding the principles of the circular economy and the adoption of truly circular models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The glossary serves as a tool to enhance understanding within organizations, foster collaboration and discussions with various stakeholders, and contribute to the development of reports, strategies, and communication materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developed in collaboration with IKEA, one of our Strategic Partners, this circular economy glossary seeks to simplify engagement with complex topics. It provides a common starting point for discussions, learning, and collaboration. The Foundation’s objective is to level the playing field in conversations and initiatives related to the transition to a circular economy mindset.
