She has over 30 years experience of working with Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Gender Consulting, and has led multiple teams focusing on gender and healthcare interventions. She has recently joined LightCastle Partners as a GESI expert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In LightCastle Partners\u2019 ongoing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2023\/11\/bunon-2030-future-proofing-rmg-sector-sustainable-growth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cBunon 2030\u201d initiative<\/a>, Dr. Ahmed will lend her expertise in guiding and contributing to a unified action plan in interventions and knowledge content particularly in the upcoming multi-stakeholder engagements. She will also contribute significantly to LightCasle\u2019s upcoming dialogue on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2023\/11\/securing-jobs-in-apparel-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">worker well-being in the apparel industry<\/a>, with a particular focus on gender and inclusion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Ahmed has a diverse educational history spanning a Bachelor of Medicine in Bulgaria, an MBBS in Bangladesh, and an MS in Health Evaluation Sciences in the USA. In her eventful career, she started as a medical officer and then moved on to broader responsibilities in the HIV\/AIDS program for BWHC. There she was involved in the formulation of the National AIDS Policy and 1st and 2nd National AIDS Strategic Plan (1998-2010). She has worked in different roles with UNAIDS, Campe, CARE, Oxfam, IRC, and World Vision, among others as a consultant, and SRHR expert, contributing to research and program development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/bunon2030\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cBunon 2030\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;is a LightCastle Partners initiative that aims to strengthen the apparel industry for the next decade\u2014 adapting to the emergence of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2023\/07\/4ir-in-the-apparel-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">4th Industrial Revolution<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2023\/07\/due-diligence-bangladesh-rmg-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">changing Geopolitics<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2023\/08\/circularity-bangladesh-international-comparison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Circularity<\/a>, and Worker Wellbeing. This initiative is part of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/news\/oporajita-collective-impact-on-the-future-of-work-in-bangladesh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cOporajita: Collective Impact on Future of Work\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;and is working towards future-proofing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2023\/07\/women-garment-workers-in-bangladesh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">women workers in the apparel sector<\/a>&nbsp;and
