A key outcome was the flagship report:<br><strong>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/videos\/insights-from-the-national-dissemination-session\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A Comprehensive Landscape Study of the Apparel Industry and the Future for Women Workers<\/a>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This research formed the basis for high-level national advocacy and stakeholder dialogues on critical issues, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2025\/03\/rmg-industry-automation-growth-worker-wellbeing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Circularity <\/a>and automation in the RMG sector<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Policy gaps and reform opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2024\/02\/fostering-wellbeing-for-women-in-rmg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Worker well-being <\/a>and future-readiness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, LightCastle developed two targeted policy briefs\u2014one for government stakeholders and another for industry players\u2014designed to facilitate meaningful discussion and informed decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The insights from Phase I underscored the urgency of integrating automation and circularity, formalizing <a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2025\/07\/waste-management-bangladesh-trash-to-treasure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">textile waste recycling<\/a>, improving logistics, and reforming policies to ensure a resilient and sustainable RMG sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moving from Insight to Action in Phase II<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Phase II builds directly on the learnings of Phase I, moving from research to implementation. This phase aligns with evolving global priorities around <a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2019\/07\/bangladesh-rmg-sector-difficult-relationship-with-sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sustainability<\/a> and trade, and focuses on the <strong>transitional challenges<\/strong> faced by the RMG sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At its core, Phase II centers on two strategic themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lightcastlepartners.com\/insights\/2024\/01\/bunon-2030-circularity-decarbonization-and-competitiveness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Decarbonization<\/strong> <\/a>of the RMG value chain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enhancing worker well-being<\/strong>, particularly for women garment workers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These themes are crucial for ensuring the long-term <strong>resilience<\/strong>, <strong>competitiveness<\/strong>, and <strong>inclusivity<\/strong> of the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this phase, LightCastle will continue to play a pivotal role in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Advocating for enabling policies<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Engaging with key stakeholders<\/strong>\u2014including policymakers and industry leaders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promoting skills development and inclusive economic growth<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Driving a just and green transition<\/strong> in the RMG sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Oporajita Collective<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Oporajita<\/strong> is a multi-stakeholder platform committed to preparing Bangladesh\u2019s RMG industry\u2014and its women workforce\u2014for the future of work.
