Good hatchery outcomes depend on the effective use of the right tools\u2014equipment, hatching eggs, hygiene chemicals\u2014combined with sound procedures and skilled personnel. Such insights were shared during a 3-day workshop on \u201cHatchery Management\u201d<\/strong>, held from 16th\u201318th June 2025<\/strong> in Gulshan, Dhaka<\/strong>, as part of the PoultryTechBangladesh project. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Gerd de Lange<\/strong>, Senior Poultry Specialist, and Ms. Lotte Hebbink<\/strong>, Incubation Specialist, both from Royal Pas Reform<\/strong>. The event was jointly organized by Larive International<\/strong>, LightCastle Partners<\/strong>, and Axon Limited<\/strong>, with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n On day 1, the event kicked off with a keynote on the PoultryTechBangladesh project by Ms. Naziba Ali, Business Analyst at LightCastle Partners. Following that, Mr. Osman Haruni, Senior Policy Advisor at the Dutch Embassy in Bangladesh and Mr. Mostafa Kamal, Secretary, Bangladesh Poultry industries Central Council (BPICC) delivered the opening remarks highlighting the continued support of Dutch companies in fostering a sustainable poultry sector in Bangladesh. Mr. Zahidul Islam, Managing Director of Axon appreciated the initiative and hoped for the continuation of such capacity building initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The workshop covered a range of topics across three days:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The workshop brought together around 25 professionals from leading poultry companies, including Nourish Poultry & Hatchery<\/strong>, ACI Godrej Agrovet<\/strong>, Provita Group<\/strong>, Planet Agro<\/strong>, Kazi Farms<\/strong>, Alal Group<\/strong>, Aman Poultry & Hatchery<\/strong>, and Hendrix Genetics<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Other notable attendees included Mr. Priyo Pranto<\/strong>, Senior Business Consultant, Ms. Ainan Tajrian,<\/strong> Business Consultant at LightCastle Partners; Md. Abu Syed<\/strong>, Head of Engineering at Axon Limited; and Mr. Gazi M Shamsuddin<\/strong>, CEO of Kazi Farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To meet growing domestic demand, Bangladesh\u2019s poultry sector must significantly boost productivity by adopting advanced, knowledge-intensive production techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n PoultryTechBangladesh is a public-private partnership program aimed at enhancing the capacity and sustainability of Bangladesh\u2019s poultry sector.
