On February 11, 2025, LightCastle Partners hosted an engaging session titled Breaking into the Pulse of the Consulting Industry to provide students with insights into a career in consulting. As consulting is still a relatively nascent field in Bangladesh, many students have limited knowledge about the industry and its potential as a promising career path. To close this gap, LightCastle Partners took the lead in expanding students’ knowledge of consulting and showcasing the exciting opportunities it provides.
The session was facilitated by five representatives from LightCastle Partners. It began with a “Year in Review” presentation, aimed at giving students an insight into daily life at LightCastle. This segment offered a detailed overview of LightCastle’s activities and projects from the past year, setting the stage for the rest of the event.
Next, Md. Mubassir Rahman, Principal Business Consultant & Portfolio Manager, took the stage. He shared his personal journey in the consulting field and offered valuable insights into the industry’s evolution. His presentation featured highlights from several significant projects, giving students a clearer understanding of the real-world impact of consulting work.
Following this, Omar Farhan Khan, Senior Business Consultant & Project Manager, took over the discussion. He explained project details, findings, and methodologies in greater depth, offering students a greater understanding. He also covered key consulting concepts and shared thought-provoking facts that kept the audience engaged.
The most interactive segment of the session was the quiz competition. After a quick pulse check with the audience, the live quiz kicked off, using an interactive portal that showed real-time answers and response percentages. This setup kept students engaged and encouraged friendly competition. The leaderboard, showcasing the top three participants, added excitement and encouraged active participation.
Prizes were awarded to the top three performers, further enhancing the session’s energetic atmosphere. The event concluded with an open Q&A session, allowing students to address their queries directly to the LightCastle team. This segment aimed to clarify common misconceptions about consulting and provide practical advice on breaking into the industry.
The session explained students consulting as a career choice and inspired them to consider it as a viable and rewarding professional path. LightCastle Partners remains committed to supporting aspiring consultants and will continue to create platforms that connect students with industry experts.
