Academic and Professional Experience: Background in Accounting and/or finance Candidates with partially completed professional degrees (ACCA/CA/CMA). Work experience at renowned audit firms will be a big plus.   

Position Overview 

The candidate is expected to have solid experience managing accounts and reporting functions for service-based organizations. The right candidate will have some experience with accounting and tax rules in Bangladesh and should be willing to add value and support the management. 

1. Required Qualifications 

  • Competent in verbal and written English communication skills. 
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently and in a team setting. 
  • Conversant with Accounting software e.g. Tally, Quick Book and office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

2. Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in preparing annual financial statements for external audit in compliance with International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) & other local laws & regulations and preparing the periodic financial reports for the Management. 
  • Assist in recording & maintaining the daily transactions through accounting software. 
  • Assist in forecasting &  preparing the periodic cashflows &  budget. 
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all statutory laws and regulations of relevant authorities and making effective communication with them to run our smooth operation. 
  • Assist in preparing monthly bank reconciliations and making effective relations with Bank officials to avoid banking complexity. 
  • Operational understanding of reporting standards for asset management companies or VC firms  
  • Doing any other job assigned by the department head/management. 

3. Compensation 

Market competitive and negotiable, based on qualifications and experience. The pay package includes two festival bonuses, medical claim reimbursement, and provident fund
