FoodTechBangladesh Enables Retail Supply with Meena Baza

FoodTechBangladesh and Meena Bazar partnership has successfully translated capacity building into real market access, as Meena Bazar has officially onboarded FishTech Bangladesh Limited, one of the FTB consortium partners, as an enlisted supplier.

Following the MoU signing on 25 September 2025 between FoodTechBangladesh and three private sector companies, FishTech Bangladesh has now entered Meena Bazar’s supply chain and has already begun supplying Tilapia to its outlets. This marks a concrete outcome of the program’s off-take, demonstrating FTB’s ability to connect producers with organized retail markets.

As one of Bangladesh’s leading retail supermarket chains, Meena Bazar plays a critical role in shaping modern food distribution standards in the country. With multiple outlets serving urban consumers, it sets benchmarks in quality assurance, traceability, food safety, and structured procurement, making supplier enlistment a strong signal of market credibility and compliance readiness.

The FoodTechBangladesh Meena Bazar partnership reflects the program’s core objective: enabling commercially viable, quality-driven, and traceable supply chains in Bangladesh’s food and aquaculture sectors. Through technical support, compliance readiness, and private-sector engagement, FoodTechBangladesh has helped prepare consortium partners to meet the stringent sourcing requirements of modern retail.

The onboarding of FishTech Bangladesh as a Meena Bazar supplier highlights how structured market-linkage initiatives under the FoodTechBangladesh program can build sustainable business relationships, strengthen local value chains, and improve consumer access to safe, high-quality food.

As the program continues, FoodTechBangladesh remains committed to scaling such partnerships with more retail enterprises, ensuring that more producers and processors transition from pilots to long-term commercial offtake arrangements.
