Job Function: Business Development, Proposal Development and Bid Management, Partnership Development, and Business Strategy.

The role is designed for a high-performing and highly self-motivated professional who can independently drive business opportunities, lead complex proposal and bid submission processes, build strategic partnerships, and support the execution of key organizational growth initiatives. 



1. Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies Required: 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Management, Economics, Development Studies, or any relevant field. 
  • Strong understanding of business development and bid management processes. 
  • Excellent proposal writing, presentation development, business communication, and budget development skills. 
  • Experience in project design, research methodologies, data analysis, and report writing. 
  • Sound understanding of research methodologies and concepts such as market systems development, private sector development (PSD), entrepreneurship development, blended finance, impact investment, and monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project management abilities. 
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to independently manage multiple workstreams and consistently deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated leadership potential, intellectual curiosity, professional maturity, and a strong sense of ownership. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and collaborative team environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and cloud-based collaboration and document management platforms, with working knowledge of statistical analysis, data visualization, and AI tools. 
  • Excellent English and Bangla communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory. 

2. Key Responsibilities 

  • Business Development and Pipeline Management: Identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities by monitoring market trends, developments in emerging sectors, donor priorities, and procurement portals. Develop and manage a robust business development pipeline, conduct market analysis and opportunity mapping, and support the formulation and execution of growth strategies aligned with organizational priorities. 
  • Proposal Development and Bid Management: Lead end-to-end proposal, expression of interest, tender, and bid development processes, including opportunity assessment, proposal strategy, technical approach and methodology design, budgeting, and submission management. Coordinate with internal teams, technical experts, and external partners to ensure high-quality, competitive, and compliant proposals that align with client requirements. 
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Independently manage business development activities, internal initiatives, and operational workstreams. Drive the successful execution of the team priorities while actively contributing to process improvement, knowledge management, and team coordination. Guide cross-functional teams for proposal development and bid submission, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment to achieve timely, high-quality outcomes. 
  • Strategic Partnerships and Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with clients, partners, consortium members, and industry stakeholders to support business growth and project acquisition. Represent the organization in external engagements and contribute to client relationship management through consistent, transparent, and timely communication to strengthen long-term collaboration opportunities. 
  • Strategic Initiatives, Innovation, and Thought Leadership: Support the team in advancing strategic initiatives that contribute to the organization’s long-term growth and positioning. Drive innovation in project design, concept development, and solutioning by translating market insights, client needs, and emerging trends into new service offerings and business opportunities. Develop knowledge assets, including case studies, white papers, technical briefs, and thought leadership content, and support outreach initiatives, industry engagements, and strategic events that strengthen the organization’s visibility, partnerships, and market presence.
