Samad Miraly is an investor. He comes from an industrialist family with experience in frontier markets. Samad is currently an Executive Director at Olympic Industries Limited, a publicly listed FMCG manufacturing company and the largest biscuit manufacturer in Bangladesh.
Additionally he is also a partner in IDLC VC Fund 1 which is managed by the venture capital wing of IDLC Finance – leading NBFI in Bangladesh. He also serves on various other boards and organizations.
Samad’s particular interest in investing in innovation led to his work in Bangladesh’s tech startup industry. He co-Founded Startup Dhaka, which designed and operated the first-in-class GP Accelerator in partnership with Grameenphone (a Telenor company) – a project which he spearheaded.
