LightCastle Partners has recently signed a contract with UNDP Youth Co:Lab to undertake a study on “The State of Ecosystem for Youth Entrepreneurship in Bangladesh“, backed by UNDP, Citi Foundation, Startup Bangladesh Limited and Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). Apart from having a youth-responsive lens, the study will also be gender-responsive, in accordance with UNDP’s Gender Equality Strategy and IsDB’s Women’s Empowerment Policy.
Information for the research will be gathered from a wide range of entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, and investors through a combination of physical and virtual KIIs, Surveys, FGDs, and workshops – encompassing the current state, challenges, disablers, and enablers, as well as harness recommendations for youth entrepreneurship to grow in Bangladesh. The evidence generated through this analysis will guide the development of IsDB’s Youth Development Strategy through strategies and operations at the national and sub-national levels.
