Academic Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Development Studies, or any other relevant field
  • All academic courses, including an internship, must be completed

About the Development & Management Consulting Team

We provide research, consulting, technical assistance, and project management services to bilateral/multilateral development partners, private sector entities, foundations, and NGO/INGOs. We conduct value chain assessment, implementation projects, gender analysis, M&E studies, project planning and strategy development, and policy analysis.

LightCastle also specializes in creating knowledge content on a regular basis for various sectors, themes, and contemporary socio-economic issues.  Apart from providing research and technical assistance to development partners, we also implement a number of long-term projects funded by international donors and development partners.

Private sector engagement remains at the core of our value addition, and we adopt a systemic approach to solving development challenges. The team specializes in several sectors and cross-cutting themes, including Agriculture, RMG, Financial Inclusion/DFI, WASH, women’s economic empowerment, enterprise development, Market System Development, skills, and livelihood. 

About the Role:

The Business Analyst will assist in supervising Project Management in assigned projects with tasks and activities necessary for project implementation – ideally in the form of developing knowledge products, organizing thought-leadership events and webinars, and preparing presentations.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct strategy consulting projects beginning from the design phase to the dissemination of the findings to clients/stakeholders
  • Devise research methodologies, data capture instruments, and data collection plans for projects
  • Analyze and visualize research findings and develop reports as required
  • Maintain regular communication with the client as well as internal stakeholders while managing projects 
  • Publishing articles, slide decks, knowledge snippets, concept notes, and white papers on industry practices for relevant media
  • Regularly prepare content based on primary and secondary data for the website and newsletter
  • Prepare project proposals, press releases, workshop/training curriculum, and any sort of communications required
  • Work closely with the team members to design and implement training and development sessions for the team 

Required Skills and Traits:

  • General understanding and interest in strategy and research 
  • Willing to work in a highly demanding and results-oriented team environment 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize 
  • Professional attitude, intellectual curiosity, good team player, customer service orientation
  • Good proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant analytics/data visualization packages (R, Python, Power BI/Tableau) is a plus 
  • Sound proficiency in developing high-impact digital content, with expertise in relevant content creation tools, is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills 
  • Solid problem-solving capabilities 
  • Strong interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent English and Bangla communication skills – both written and oral
  • Willingness to travel outside Dhaka for project purposes
