Position Overview
The Data Collection Associate will be responsible for collecting accurate and reliable quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, interviews, and field visits. This role involves engaging with respondents, recording information using paper or digital tools, and ensuring data quality in line with project guidelines.
1. Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a university student in any discipline.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable approaching and communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Good command of Bangla and English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to record information accurately.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Willingness to travel to assigned field locations.
- Ability to work according to project timelines and deadlines.
- Prior experience in surveys, field research, data collection, or similar activities will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Knowledge of the automobile industry will add value
- Having 4-5 car owners within the individuals’ network will be a bonus
2. Required Technical Skills
- Basic digital literacy and proficiency in using Google Forms, Microsoft Excel, or similar digital tools.
- Familiarity with mobile data collection tools, e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, is a plus.

4. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct household, community, or institutional surveys as per project requirements.
- Approach and interview respondents in a respectful and professional manner.
- Accurately record responses using paper forms, tablets, or mobile data collection applications.
- Verify and cross-check collected data for completeness and accuracy before submission.
- Follow sampling plans and fieldwork protocols strictly.
- Maintain confidentiality of all respondent information.
- Report daily progress and challenges to the supervisor or field coordinator.
- Assist in pre-testing questionnaires and provide feedback for improvement.
- Travel to assigned locations, sometimes in remote or rural areas.
