About BDI
Bangladesh Invest is a non-profit-seeking bilateral platform bridging global capital to Bangladesh. Working across a dual-entity structure — an international non-profit arm and a Bangladesh trade association arm — BDI connects institutional investors, corporates, and capital market participants with curated investment opportunities in Bangladesh.
Role Overview
BDI is looking for a Director of Strategy & Operations to own the day-to-day running of the organization across all workstreams. This is not a support role. The Director will be expected to take initiative, make judgment calls, and ensure BDI operates at full capacity — without needing to be managed into action. You will be the operational core of a high-ambition, early-stage platform with a growing network of institutional partners, global investors, and senior ecosystem stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Workstream Management
- Design and maintain operational infrastructure across BDI’s programs — ensuring nothing falls through the cracks across an active pipeline of partnerships, events, and investor engagements
- Build and manage tracking systems for deal pipeline, partnership formalization, member activity, and event delivery
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies proactively
Partnership & Association Coordination
- Lead BDI’s engagement with industry associations and trade body partners
- Drive formalization of partnerships currently in progress across BDI’s local and international network
- Coordinate BDI’s Asset Class Working Groups, including member engagement, session facilitation, and output documentation
Investor & Corporate Coordination
- Own the investor matchmaking pipeline — from initial outreach coordination through to deal facilitation handoff with legal, financial, and regulatory partners
- Maintain structured engagement with corporate investors and family offices within BDI’s network
- Prepare briefing materials, market intelligence summaries, and investor-facing documentation as needed
Events & Global Engagements
- Lead operational execution of BDI’s 2026 program calendar
- Manage end-to-end logistics for member-only investor matchmaking meetings and closed policy briefings
Brand & Digital Presence
- Own BDI’s social media and brand presence, with particular focus on LinkedIn and digital content strategy
- Ensure BDI’s external positioning reflects its institutional credibility — consistent tone, timely content, and alignment with the organization’s investor-facing narrative
- Coordinate production of content and communications across BDI’s channels
Who You Are
- 6–10 years of experience spanning operations, investment facilitation, strategy, or institutional platform management — ideally with exposure to private capital, trade associations, or investment promotion
- You have run things before. You know how to prioritize, delegate when needed, and keep multiple workstreams moving simultaneously
- Strong existing familiarity with Bangladesh’s investment and private sector landscape; networks across local business chambers, regulatory bodies, or investor communities are a significant advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; able to represent BDI credibly in senior stakeholder settings
- Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage environments
