Mode of Work: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 remote) – however need to be flexible based on work engagements

ROLE OVERVIEW 

LightCastle Partners is seeking a Senior Business Consultant to join its Ecosystem & Investments team. This role combines analytical rigor, client leadership, and research depth to deliver high-quality consulting engagements across export competitiveness, digital public infrastructure (DPI), and entrepreneurship ecosystems. The successful candidate will manage client relationships, lead research and advisory workstreams, mentor junior team members, and represent the firm across national and global platforms. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. PROJECT & CLIENT MANAGEMENT 

  • Lead multi-stakeholder engagements end-to-end, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget discipline. 
  • Build and sustain relationships with clients, donors, and strategic partners. 
  • Own delivery of core outputs — reports, presentations, case studies, and briefs — to a consulting-grade standard. 
  • Coach and develop Business Consultants and Business Analysts, strengthening the team’s technical and delivery capabilities. 
  • Track budgets, KPIs, and delivery milestones across active engagements. 

2. RESEARCH & KNOWLEDGE LEADERSHIP 

  • Lead primary and secondary research across exports, DPI, and entrepreneurship. 
  • Contribute to flagship publications, including sector reports and DPI landscape studies. 
  • Design research methodologies — KIIs, FGDs, and surveys — that generate decision-ready intelligence. 
  • Translate findings into dashboards, frameworks, and policy recommendations. 

3. ECOSYSTEM ENGAGEMENT 

  • Build relationships with policymakers, private-sector leaders, DFIs, and academic institutions. 
  • Represent LightCastle at national and international platforms and conferences. 
  • Drive strategic partnerships (e.g., SheSTEM, ExportBangladesh.org, DPI pilots). 
  • Convene ecosystem roundtables, dialogues, and multi-stakeholder forums.  

4. ADVISORY, TRAINING & CAPACITY BUILDING 

  • Advise SMEs and corporates on growth strategy, blended finance, and investment readiness. 
  • Design and deliver training modules and Training-of-Trainer (ToT) programs. 
  • Provide one-on-one advisory on business planning, market entry, and financing pathways. 
  • Lead accelerator and capacity-building programs with clear, measurable outcomes. 

5. DIGITAL & AI-ENABLED DELIVERY 

  • Build dashboards and automation pipelines using SQL, Tableau or Looker Studio, and Excel. 
  • Champion adoption of MS365 and collaborative digital workflows across the organization. 
  • Lead development of LightCastle’s internal Project Management Application. 
  • Apply generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot) to accelerate research synthesis, drafting, and analysis. 

6. AUXILIARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support Finance with budgeting, invoicing, and cost governance. 
  • Partner with Communications on publications, newsletters, and thought leadership. 
  • Contribute to business development — proposals, pipeline tracking, and opportunity mapping. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, digital, and data teams. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3–5 years of experience in consulting, project leadership, or a related analytical role. 
  • Strong grounding in market research and the export / digital economy landscape. 
  • Fluency in MS Office, SQL, and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio). 
  • Demonstrated, hands-on proficiency with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot). 
  • Experience with digital transformation and workflow automation. 
  • Excellent executive communication — narrative clarity, written command, and presentation delivery. 
  • Proven ability to manage analysts, timelines, and multi-partner complexity. 
  • Composure and sound judgment under pressure and tight deadlines.
