LightCastle Partners and Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the goal of strengthening the female entrepreneurship ecosystem in Bangladesh. Both parties will jointly explore multifaceted development options and harness one another skills to provide scalable and long-lasting economic impact through collaborative research, policy advocacy, and intervention opportunities.
As part of this broader partnership, LightCastle Partners and BWCCI will work together to implement the expansion of Meta’s “SheMeansBusiness” in Bangladesh. Through the initiative, LightCastle and BWCCI will provide female entrepreneurs with the information, contacts, and technology they need to establish and expand their businesses. Additionally, LightCastle and BWCCI, together with Aspire to Innovate (a2i), will facilitate policy advocacy among key parties for digital commerce in an effort to create further opportunities for businesses.
Bangladesh Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) is the first women’s chamber of commerce in the country. They particularly work on women’s economic and social empowerment. The organization is registered with the government under the Ministry of Commerce.
Mr. Ivdad Ahmed Khan Mojlish, Co-founder & Managing Director, LightCastle Partners, and Mrs. Selima Ahmad MP, President, Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI), signed the agreement on behalf of the parties. Other officials from both organizations were also present during the signing ceremony.
