CIRCO Hub Bangladesh: A Global Enabler of Circularity Starts its Journey in Bangladesh

On October 30, 2025, LightCastle Partners, Circo Hub NL, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) signed an agreement to set up and operationalize CIRCO Hub Bangladesh. The initiative will run for one year. During this period, the partners aim to position CIRCO Hub as a key platform for driving the circular economy agenda in Bangladesh.

CIRCO Hub is a global network that blends design thinking with practical business tools. Its purpose is to help companies shift from linear practices to circular models. Today, the network spans 30 hubs worldwide and has trained over 2,500 companies. Its scientific methodology enables businesses to redesign value chains, products, and services to adopt circular practices.

A core feature of the platform is the CIRCO Track, a 3-day training program combining workshops, self-study, and coaching. In each Track, teams from multiple companies work with expert trainers to redesign products and business models. In addition to training, CIRCO Hubs also support governments and industries through policy advocacy. You can learn more about CIRCO Hub here.

In Bangladesh, LightCastle Partners will lead the initiative locally. The hub will focus primarily on the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector, as well as adjacent industries. Through capacity-building programs, expert consultations, and advocacy initiatives, the hub will encourage the adoption of circular practices and policy reforms.

As part of this partnership, a Training of Trainers (ToT) program will be launched. It will develop a pool of certified circularity experts. Furthermore, CIRCO’s curriculum will be adapted to local needs. Through this, 80 professionals from 40 SMEs will receive structured capacity-building support.

The CIRCO Hub Bangladesh will also bring together key ecosystem actors. By convening public and private stakeholders, the hub will foster policy dialogue and encourage joint action toward a more circular economy. Consequently, it will help unlock new opportunities for ecosystem development.

LightCastle Partners will draw on its decade-long experience in Bangladesh’s RMG sector to lead the hub effectively. With its track record in enterprise training and policy advocacy, LightCastle will ensure strong knowledge transfer and evidence-driven policy engagement. Ultimately, such global collaboration and technical knowledge sharing are essential steps toward future-proofing Bangladesh’s green growth ambitions.
