The Batch 7 of Grameenphone Accelerator 3.0, the country’s first growth-focused accelerator program, was officially onboarded in February 2022. During the 6 months of the accelerator program, the startups are now preparing to face Demo Day and graduate from the program.
As part of the accelerator program, the startups attended the first of the two-part community pitch program on June 15, 2022 at Moar Gulshan, where they pitched to the attendees from the startup community and ecosystem. The community pitches were organized so that the startups can connect to a deeper level of the ecosystem as well as give the aspiring entrepreneurs and founders a chance to directly interact with the top 6 teams of this year’s Grameenphone Accelerator.
The pitch was organized in the afternoon and started with introducing all the participants, including the organizers and startups. To make the pitch successful, the startups delved deeper into the problems they are solving and how the community can help to cater to the approach. All the startups pitched their initiatives and the participants asked questions in regard to their statistics and data, business model, problem-solving scope, and how they are scaling their services.
The second session of the two-part community pitch was held in Dhanmondi in the ULAB Research Building on June 26, 2022. In collaboration with ULAB’s very own Center for Enterprise and Society (CES), the pitch was held in the auditorium of the building where students and aspiring entrepreneurs attended the event. The startups pitched their idea in front of the crowd and answered their curious questions regarding the business model, challenges, and opportunities. The event ended with a note of thanks from Sohel Rana, Lead Specialist of GP Accelerator to the organizing committee and ULAB.
A small networking space was organized by the university to give the opportunity to the attendees to converse with the startups directly about their ideas and their journey through the accelerator. This lively event was strategically planned in Dhanmondi to iterate the startups throughout the startup and aspirant entrepreneur community in Dhaka with the support of ULAB.
The 6 startups that were part of the event were:
