Larive-LightCastle consortium has recently signed an agreement with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for implementing a multi-year public-private partnership program. The program envisions facilitating foreign direct investment, enabling technology transfer & collaboration between the Bangladeshi and Dutch counterparts.
The aquaculture program aims to improve the productivity of Bangladeshi fish breeders and farmers by setting up three Centers of Excellence (CoEs) spread across three divisions. Through capacity development interventions, Bangladeshi fish breeders and farmers are expected to apply better commercial, technical and sustainable farming practices.
The program will also utilize Dutch aquaculture expertise and disseminate the knowledge to Bangladeshi stakeholders to improve the technical capacity leading to improved commercial practices and farm-level performance.
