LightCastle Partners has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Agricultural Olympiad to foster youth-driven innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices within Bangladesh’s agricultural sector. The signing took place on 10 August 2025, following a strategic discussion on strengthening national agricultural development initiatives.
Agricultural Olympiad, a government-registered organization founded in 2017, has been inspiring young Bangladeshis to embrace agricultural innovation, promote safe food, and prepare future technology-driven agri-entrepreneurs. With over 480 active youth members, the Agricultural Olympiad has become a national platform for promoting agricultural awareness, skill development, and innovation.
Through the partnership, LightCastle Partners and Agricultural Olympiad will collaborate on several key areas:
Discussions during the signing highlighted the critical importance of engaging students in agriculture from an early age, as perceptions are harder to shift at a later stage. Agriculture remains the foundation of Bangladesh’s economy, powering exports, agribusiness, and food security, yet it is often overlooked as a viable career path among young people.
Both organizations emphasized the need to move beyond awareness-building to fostering incubation, acceleration, and long-term sustainability for agricultural innovations.
Md. Mubassir Rahman, Principal Business Consultant & Portfolio Manager at LightCastle Partners, signed the MoU on behalf of LightCastle Partners. He manages the agriculture sector–based portfolio at LightCastle, bringing sectoral expertise to guide the partnership’s strategic initiatives.
Under the agreement, LightCastle Partners will provide strategic visibility, co-sponsor the event, host career sessions, and promote the Olympia. Agricultural Olympiad will lead the operational delivery of the National Agricultural Olympiad Season 2, facilitate collaboration, and integrate LightCastle Partners’ expertise into program delivery.
