LightCastle Partners has recently signed a contract for the project titled “Tracer Study on projects of the Skills Development Programme (SDP).” The Skills Development Programme, initiated in 2015 by BRAC, aims to empower underprivileged individuals by providing training and employment opportunities, particularly emphasizing women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities. The program equally focuses on enhancing working conditions in MSMEs through strengthening value chains, improving management, and expanding employment by cultivating skilled human resources.
LightCastle will support BRAC by providing an all-encompassing assessment and status update of the post-training outcome for 4 projects under SDP: STAR (Skills Training for Advancing Resources), PROSPER (Promoting Skills and Productivity Enhancement for Resilience), PROMISE (Promoting business Incubation for small entrepreneurs) and BISD (BRAC Institute of Skill Development).
The project will assess the participants’ pre and post-training employment status, changes in income, digital skills improvement, business creation, changes in social dynamics as well as lifestyle impact (nutrition and health) across the eight divisions of Bangladesh with the presence of the projects and is expected to be completed by the month of April of this year.
