On February 27th, LightCastle Partners hosted its first-ever Open Day, offering university students an exclusive opportunity to explore the world of career management consultancy. The event provided insights into our work, approach, and the meaningful projects we undertake, helping students navigate potential career paths in the field.
The session kicked off at 10:45 AM with 12 students from various universities. Ameera Fairooz, Senior Business Consultant, set the stage with a brief opening and an overview of key projects. This was followed by an in-depth session led by Md. Mubassir Rahman, Principal Business Consultant & Portfolio Manager. He shed light on the journey of LightCastle’s Management Consulting team, sharing insights into its projects and the impact they create.
Since management consulting often sparks curiosity and misconceptions among students, the session aimed to demystify the field. By the end, attendees had a clearer and more informed perspective on consultancy management as a career
Next, Omar Farhan Khan, Project Manager & Senior Business Consultant, conducted a session on the Ecosystem & Investments team. He discussed investment opportunities, the execution of high-impact projects, and the broader market landscape in this sector. Additionally, he outlined essential skills for a career in consulting and provided guidance for students interested in entering the field.
The session concluded with an interactive quiz, led by Nuzhat Naoshin, HR Officer, to encourage participation. Awards were presented to the top three performers, making the activity both engaging and rewarding.
A networking lunch followed, offering students the opportunity to connect with professionals, seek career guidance, and engage in meaningful discussions. Then, Ishrat shared her journey, provided insights into career pathways and trajectories, and discussed the technical and soft skills required to enter the marketing field. Later, Zahedul Islam, Managing Director of LightCastle Partners, joined the session to gather insights from attendees and engage in informal conversations on various topics.
The event concluded with a gift distribution and an experience-sharing session, where students reflected on their key takeaways by contributing to a reflection board.
Overall, the Open Day was a rewarding experience, with participants expressing their appreciation for the valuable insights and engaging sessions.
