LightCastle, in collaboration with Aspire to Innovate (a2i) of the ICT Division and Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BWCCI), recently conducted the 1st of the three training workshops for Meta’s #SheMeansBusiness ‘Bringing Businesses Online in Bangladesh’ program in Dhaka on March 20, 2022.
Meta’s #SheMeansBusiness program is aimed at supporting SMBs, particularly women-owned, in Bangladesh and globally to gain digital skills and business financial management skills to strengthen their business resiliency. The goal of the training was to enhance the digital literacy of the Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) with regards to leveraging Meta’s digital tools for driving business growth. 19 SMBs spanning 4 sectors attended the day-long workshop.
Meta-certified trainers from LightCastle’s team – Sadia Afrin Anika, Mustafa Shahir Hamid, and Mrinmoy Sobhan – ran the sessions. Nahid Sultana Mallick, Joint-Project Director (Joint-Secretary) of A2i, Manik Mahmood, Head of Social Innovation Cluster, and Md. Shahriar Hasan Jisan, National Consultant and Head of Strategy of Ek-shop spoke at the closing ceremony of the event.
As part of the training component of the program, the consortium will run two more workshops in Chattogram and Jashore.
