LightCastle Partners completed an intensive Investment Readiness Training and Demo Day of the Entrepreneur Development Program (EDP) in partnership with Oxfam for their project titled “Building Oxfam’s Footprint in Bangladesh Entrepreneur Ecosystem” on 2nd and 3rd March 2022.
At the event, 26 shortlisted entrepreneurs shared their business models and plans with potential investors and market experts to scale up their businesses. From Financial Intermediaries and Market Linkage partners Brac Bank, Karmoshangsthan Bank, Khaas Food, Parmeeda Agro, WeGro, Shwapno Super Shop, Rangpur, and Agroshift were invited for networking.
From these training, the top three value additions for the SMEs were Business Incubation Training for planning & structuring their enterprises with best practices, liaison with Financial Institutions for building a relationship,s and getting access to finance (regular loans & stimulus loans), and introduction to market intermediaries for venturing into other domestic opportunities both in brick & mortar stores and online platforms.
