Jamal Uddin is a distinguished expert in the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector, boasting over two decades of extensive experience in fostering inclusive business ideation and development, HR business partnering, employee engagement, organizational development, and supply chain management within Bangladesh. His professional journey has spanned across various sectors including Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), garments manufacturing, and food processing, alongside collaborations with international development organizations.
Currently he actively collaborates with private enterprises, NGOs, Chambers of Commerce, academic institutions, and international organizations to institutionalize Inclusive Business practices within Bangladesh. This endeavor stems from his prior achievements in designing and developing 10 innovative inclusive business models, which have notably centered on enhancing the health and well-being of garment industry workers over the past decade.
Throughout his career, he has showcased an exceptional knack for ideation, successfully engaging multiple stakeholders to establish responsible business models aimed at promoting better employment opportunities and heightened productivity. His initiatives have significantly contributed to augmenting the purchasing power of underprivileged garment workers, notably through the establishment of fair price shops within factory premises. These initiatives have set a remarkable precedent, resonating as success stories across the entire garment industry landscape of Bangladesh.
