On 28th September 2025, our Leadership Academy hosted its sixth session with Mr. Waiz Rahim, Venture Partner for Bangladesh at Sturgeon Capital and Board Advisor at Rahimafrooz.
Mr. Rahim shared his leadership philosophy and reflected candidly on his entrepreneurial journey, drawing from his experiences in university-led ventures, tech startups, and the many pivots that shaped his path. His openness provided us with an invaluable opportunity to learn from both the successes and the challenges that inevitably come with building something new.
He spoke about the realities of navigating shifting market dynamics, the difficulty of sustaining certain business models, and the added complexities of competition and funding. What stood out most was not the setbacks themselves, but the clarity with which he articulated the lessons learned—how adaptability is essential, why timing matters, and how leaders must balance vision with execution.
