The World Bank Group, with implementing partner WEConnect International and local strategic partner LightCastle Partners, held a day-long event on Feb 9, 2020, at the Radisson called ‘Corporate Connect 2020 Conference and Business Fair’.

The event was officially commenced by the Minister of Commerce, Mr. Tipu Munshi, and Ms. Wendy Werner, IFC Country Manager: Bangladesh, Bhutan, & Nepal.
Over 70 Corporate Representatives and 50 Women-Owned Businesses attended the event, which included an insightful panel, roundtable discussion, exhibition fair, and a pitch competition. The event ended with a meet-the-buyer session, where 12 corporate procurement representatives held roundtable sessions with the women entrepreneurs.
