CARE Bangladesh hosted the national-level dissemination workshop for JANO Project virtually on Thursday, August 27, 2020. LightCastle Partners presented the findings of the study on the selection of nutrition-sensitive value chains selection and strategies for mainstreaming these value chains.
LightCastle has been the value chain analysis (VCA) partner for CARE’s JANO Project, which aims to solve the nutritional needs of children under 5 years of age, Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW), and adolescent girls and boys in Rangpur and Nilphamari districts through increased use of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive value chains. The LightCastle Team deployed a rigorous mixed-methods framework to select and rank Agricultural and WASH value chains and recommend strategies for increasing the use of those value chains in target areas.
The National-level workshop follows the 2 Regional-level workshops that were hosted in Rangpur and Nilphamari in July and August, respectively.
The workshop included more than 40 participants. Representatives from the public sector included Director and Director General from DLS and DAE. A significant number of local and foreign nationals represented the development sector. Academics and private sector representatives were also present to provide tri-partite feedback.
