The National Finale of Entrepreneurship World Cup – Bangladesh was virtually hosted on September 5, 2020, by the Bangladesh Chapter of Entrepreneurship World Cup.
As one of the key strategic partners, LightCastle assisted in shortlisting the submissions from a pool of more than 460 applications. In addition, senior consultants of the team took part in judging the initial rounds of the competition and picking out the highly promising applicants from the rest.
Zahedul Amin, Co-founder & Director of LigthCastle Partners, was among the esteemed panel of judges for the finale alongside Ms. Tina Jabeen, Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh; Mr. Rahat Ahmed, Founder & CEO of Anchorless Bangladesh, and Mr. Nirjhor Rahman, CEO of Bangladesh Angels.
GoZayan, a one-stop platform for travel and transportation, was crowned as Champions of this year’s competition. Octaglory, a sales and inventory tracking platform, secured the Runners Up position this year. Both the startups will be competing in the EWC Global Finals after the completion of a virtual acceleration program.
EWC is an initiative led by the Misk Global Forum, Global Entrepreneurship Network, and the Global Education and Leadership Foundation with support from a collection of national and global partners, including the GSVlabs and Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
