Media Coverage on the MoU Signing Between the FoodTechBangladesh Consortium and the Department of Fisheries (DoF)

On Sunday, March 13, 2023, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the FoodTechBangladesh consortium, jointly coordinated by Larive International and LightCastle Partners, and the Department of Fisheries (DoF), a department of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, to advance sustainable aquaculture development in Bangladesh.

Under the cooperation agreement, 76 DoF officials will be trained on advanced aquaculture technologies and farming methods. In addition, the consortium will work closely with DoF to develop a training curriculum for the capacity building of 1600 fish and shrimp breeders and farmers.

The signing ceremony took place at the Matshya Bhaban in Dhaka in the presence of key members of the consortium as well as DoF. Kh. Mahbubul Haque, Director General, DoF, and Matthias Brienen, Director, Larive International, signed the MoU on behalf of the fisheries department and the FoodTechBangladesh consortium, respectively.
