Startup Bangladesh Limited, the flagship venture capital company of the ICT Division of the Government of Bangladesh, has entered a strategic partnership with LightCastle Partners. To support the continued growth of Bangladesh’s startup ecosystem.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the Startup Bangladesh office at ICT Tower in Agargaon, Dhaka. Through this collaboration, the two organizations aim to strengthen Bangladesh’s innovation landscape. By generating ecosystem insights, promoting investment opportunities and facilitating stronger connections between local startups and global investors.
Under the collaboration, the two organizations will jointly work on several initiatives aimed at accelerating ecosystem development. These include producing knowledge products and ecosystem reports. Developing startup dealbooks to highlight investment opportunities, organizing investor roadshows and ecosystem showcasing events. Enabling in promoting Bangladesh’s startup landscape to international stakeholders.
Bangladesh’s startup ecosystem has expanded significantly over the past decade. Driven by increasing digital adoption, a large youth population and entrepreneural innitiatives. However, continued ecosystem development, improved access to capital, and stronger international visibility remain key priorities for sustaining long‑term growth.
Through this alliance, Startup Bangladesh Limited and LightCastle Partners aim to play a greater role in advancing Bangladesh’s position as an emerging innovation hub in South Asia. By combining Startup Bangladesh’s investment mandate with LightCastle’s research and advisory capabilities. The partnership seeks to unlock new opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem stakeholders.
