A conference titled, “Leaving no micro-merchants behind in the digital era in Bangladesh” will be held on the 23rd March, 2021 at the Westin Dhaka, Bangladesh. The conference will showcase lessons and market insights from the Merchants Development Driving Rural Markets (MDDRM) project, which has been implemented since 2017 in Bangladesh, by UNCDF with support of the European Union and in partnership with Dnet, BDMS, and FBCCI.
Bijon Islam, Co-founder and CEO of LightCastle Partners, will be attending as a panelist in the session, “Agility and Resilience of Small businesses amidst and after the Pandemic” alongside notable national and international figures. Moderated by Malik Kotadia, Co-founder and Global Board Chairman, GIFT Forum, this plenary will be a part of multiple panel discussions, investment pitches and keynotes featured in the one-day conference to engage policymakers and regulators with market participants and innovators within this space. Furthermore, the event will exhibit the lessons and market insights from UNCDF’s business innovation pilots as well as promote global best practices.
