On June 8, 2023, LightCastle Partners conducted an internal learning session titled “AI for Consulting”, facilitated by Ishmam Chowdhury, CEO of Shikho. The session brought together employees from across the organization to strengthen AI literacy and explore how emerging technologies can be strategically integrated into consulting engagements and day-to-day operations.
Designed to go beyond a basic introduction to AI tools, the training provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of how artificial intelligence is reshaping the modern workplace. Through practical demonstrations and real-world use cases, participants explored how AI can enhance productivity, improve decision-making, and augment consulting capabilities across research, analysis, content development, and knowledge management.
The session began with the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and gradually introduced more advanced concepts. Participants explored AI agents, workflow automation, orchestration, memory, and terminal-based interactions. The session also introduced leading AI platforms and models, including ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and other third-party applications. In addition, the facilitator emphasized the importance of building strong AI fundamentals and recommended Anthropic’s introductory AI courses for continuous learning.
The training focused heavily on practical implementation and workflow optimization. Participants learned how to use Claude efficiently while reducing token consumption. They also explored Claude Code for development workflows, Claude MD for Markdown-based documentation, and effective methods for managing file and conversation handoffs. These practices helped preserve context and improve continuity across projects. The session further showed how AI-powered tools can automate emails, reminders, calendar scheduling, and document management tasks through third-party applications.
The training extended beyond traditional uses such as drafting documents and creating presentations. It demonstrated how teams can use AI to build end-to-end workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve collaboration. Participants also explored multimodal AI capabilities using tools such as Nano Banana. In addition, they learned prompt engineering techniques to produce more accurate and higher-quality outputs.
The session also highlighted the research capabilities of advanced AI tools. Participants learned how these tools can conduct research, synthesize information from multiple sources, and generate end-to-end deliverables. These capabilities can significantly reduce the manual effort required in consulting workflows.
To create an engaging learning environment, the session combined live demonstrations, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises. Participants tested different AI tools, exchanged insights, and collaborated through QR code-enabled activities. The facilitators also assigned practical exercises to encourage continued learning and experimentation after the session.
The session marked an important milestone in LightCastle Partners’ journey toward AI-enabled consulting. It combined foundational concepts with practical applications to help employees integrate AI into their daily work and client engagements. The training also strengthened employees’ confidence in using AI tools across consulting workflows.
